College of Pharmacy at the Middle East University Organizes an Awareness Event on the Occasion of World Antibiotic Awareness Wee

Khaberni - The Community Service and Extracurricular Activities Committee at the College of Pharmacy, Middle East University, in collaboration with the "Pharmacy Hands" team, organized an awareness event for the World Antibiotic Awareness Week, targeting university students and staff, aiming to enhance awareness about the rational and safe use of antibiotics.

The event included a series of diverse educational activities, through which students and team members provided simplified scientific information about the risks of random antibiotic usage, and its role in increasing bacterial resistance, which is one of the most significant health challenges the world currently faces.

Furthermore, brochures and interactive awareness messages were distributed aiming at correcting common misconceptions among individuals about the ways to use antibiotics, and encouraging healthy practices.

The "Pharmacy Hands" team showed an active presence in organizing the event, where its members coordinated activities and interacted with students in an impactful communicative way, helping to cement the awareness message and achieve its goals.

The College of Pharmacy at the Middle East University confirmed that this activity is part of its commitment to supporting health and community initiatives aimed at enhancing sustainable health awareness, pointing out that promoting a culture of responsible use of antibiotics contributes to supporting national and global efforts to reduce the phenomenon of bacterial resistance to drugs.
