The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) criticized the decision adopted by the United Nations Security Council tonight regarding the Gaza Strip, after 13 countries agreed to the revised American resolution, and both Russia and China abstained from voting.
Hamas stated that the Security Council's decision on Gaza does not rise to the level of political and humanitarian demands and rights of the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip.
The movement added in a statement that the Security Council's decision imposes an international guardianship mechanism on the Gaza Strip, which is rejected by the Palestinian people and their forces and factions, as it also imposes a mechanism to achieve the failed goals of the occupation through a brutal genocide war.
According to the movement's statement, the Security Council's decision alienates the Gaza Strip from the rest of the Palestinian geography and attempts to impose new realities.
Hamas emphasized that the assignment of international forces with tasks and roles inside the Gaza Strip, including disarming the resistance, strips those international forces of neutrality and turns them into a party in the conflict favoring the occupation.
