Khaberni - Technology specialists and electronic device safety experts have warned against leaving laptops "laptops" inside cars, whether in hot or cold weather, confirming that this may expose the devices to damage that may be irreparable.

These warnings come after a series of studies showed that temperatures inside vehicles can rise or fall to dangerous levels in a very short time.

According to technology experts, leaving a laptop inside a car, even if the weather is moderate outside, can lead to direct damage to the internal components, especially the lithium-ion battery.

Estimates indicate that parked cars under the sun can increase in internal temperature by 20 degrees Fahrenheit within just the first 10 minutes, an increase sufficient to enter the danger range for most electronic devices, according to slashgear.

Guidelines from major technology companies, including "Apple", emphasize the necessity not to store computers in places exceeding 113 degrees Fahrenheit, with a clear warning against leaving devices inside parked cars.

Electronics engineers confirm that reaching this temperature can lead to premature battery damage, irreversibly reducing its lifespan.

If the temperature reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit, equivalent to 60 degrees Celsius, computer screens can begin to show bubbles or peeling due to the weakening of the adhesive materials, as well as the possibility of permanent damage to the SSD storage unit.

The risks are not limited to hot weather only; low temperatures also pose a similar threat, as lithium batteries do not function efficiently in extreme cold, and turning on the device after it has been in frozen conditions can cause water condensation inside the electronic components, which may lead to damage to the motherboard or microcircuits.

Health and technology studies confirm that cracking a car window slightly does not significantly reduce the heat inside the vehicle, and moderate outside weather does not prevent the car from reaching internal temperatures exceeding 110 degrees Fahrenheit in a short period.

Despite all these warnings, some users may have to leave their devices inside vehicles. In such cases, experts recommend taking several precautionary measures, the most important being to completely shut down the device, not just put it in sleep mode, placing it in an insulated bag, avoiding leaving it on seats or places exposed to the sun, and preferably putting it on the vehicle's floor or under the seats, where the temperature is relatively lower.

In the event of retrieving the device after leaving it in harsh temperature conditions, it is advised to leave it for some time without turning it on to gradually adapt to the normal temperature, to avoid any damage resulting from sudden changes.

Experts affirm that adhering to these guidelines can significantly reduce the likelihood of laptops sustaining permanent damage that could lead to data loss or complete device failure.
