Khaberni - Government Communication Minister and official government spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Momani, stated that the names of the first batch of conscripts, who are scheduled to be called for military service next year, will be announced shortly after the full stages of the law are completed. He added that the selection process will be conducted through a neutral statistical draw, using computerized mechanisms and based on scientific foundations and criteria, adhering to the directives of His Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, emphasizing the application of the highest standards of transparency with no exceptions.
He noted that, according to previous announcements, the selection of conscripts will be from Jordanian males born in 2007 who have reached the age of eighteen by January 1, 2026, at a rate of 6,000 youths annually, divided into three stages, with each stage including 2,000 youths.
He mentioned that this decision is a continuation of what His Highness the Crown Prince announced last August regarding reactivating the military service program, affirming that the program is a national step towards preparing and qualifying the youth through military and a structured theoretical training as per the military service and reserve service law.
