Khaberni - Stemming from Amman Arab University's commitment to enhancing its presence in scientific and research forums, Dr. Naseeba Al-Qateesh and Dr. Dhikrayat Mardas, faculty members in the College of Pharmacy at the university, participated in the Twelfth Conference on Scientific Research in Jordan, which was organized by the Jordanian Association for Scientific Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, under the sponsorship of former Prime Minister Prof. Dr. Adnan Badran, with wide participation from academics, researchers, and officials from various Jordanian and Arab universities.

During the opening of the conference, Dr. Badran emphasized that despite limited natural resources, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has managed to secure a distinguished position in the field of scientific research and higher education, thanks to ongoing investments in people and knowledge and the development of an advanced scientific and technological base that contributes to national development. He also called for an increase in national spending on research and development to gradually reach 2-3% of the Gross Domestic Product, along with diversifying funding sources and establishing funds to support emerging tech companies and providing long-term research grants for strategic projects.

Dr. Naseeba and Dr. Dhikrayat highlighted that their participation was part of the College of Pharmacy's efforts at Amman Arab University to keep abreast of research and scientific developments and enhance academic communication with researchers from various disciplines. The conference covered a range of scientific topics that contribute to supporting sustainable development and building a knowledge-based economy, through showcasing the latest research trends in the fields of science, health, energy, economy, and innovation. Moreover, the participation of the College of Pharmacy in this conference embodies Amman Arab University's ongoing commitment to supporting the research and innovation system and its dedication to enabling its academic staff to engage in scientific events that contribute to knowledge development and community service.
