Khaberni - Samsung Electronics Levant revealed the conclusion of the second session of its advanced free training program in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and programming, which is implemented within the framework of the "Samsung Innovation Campus – SIC," one of the company’s most prominent corporate social responsibility initiatives and one of the most important global educational initiatives in the field of information and communication technology, aimed at providing youth with the necessary digital skills to keep pace with technological transformation and efficiently integrate into the labor market.

The second session witnessed a qualitative expansion in youth participation following the remarkable success of the first session, recording positive performance indicators that highlighted the importance of the program and its increasing impact in supporting energies across the region's countries; it attracted a total of 784 applicants, of whom 130 trainees participated in the session that graduated 89 trainees compared to 41 trainees at the level of Jordan and Iraq at the conclusion of the first session.

Jordan recorded a notable growth of 245% in the number of students obtaining graduation certificates and appreciation compared to the first session, while Lebanon emerged as a new addition to this session, enabling a number of applicants who qualified to join its events to represent the interest of Lebanese youth in engaging in the digital economy; showing great potential by achieving the highest number of students who were able to obtain graduation certificates and appreciation with a total of 42 graduates. As for Iraq, it continued its presence in the program through a distinguished group of students who showed great passion for learning and applying knowledge in practical fields.

These results came thanks to the integrated approach characterized by the session, which was implemented under the management and supervision of the global data science expert Murad Suliman with the help of several facilitators, over 9 weeks totaling 270 hours, which integrated the theoretical and practical aspects of artificial intelligence with the interactive side, through live weekly sessions, direct mentorship, and asynchronous learning aimed at facilitating access to content at any time to suit the trainees, alongside continuous support around the clock throughout the week via Slack platform channels designated for the course and through email.

In a comment on this matter, the General Manager of Samsung Electronics Levant, Jong Ho Kang, expressed his pride in the ongoing success of the Samsung Innovation Program SIC and the effective courses it generates, not only in terms of the numbers recorded in the number of applicants and their outcomes but also in terms of the knowledge impact added to young people. Kang clarified that these courses, which the company will continue to offer, contribute to supplying the region with a new generation of innovative leaders capable of transforming knowledge into real solutions that effect change in societies.

On another note, several students expressed their appreciation for the educational experience provided by the company; for instance, trainee Shafa'a Al-Hindi from Jordan stated that the course provided her with technical and practical knowledge, developed her way of thinking about innovation and problem-solving, and opened new horizons in artificial intelligence. Whereas Kawthar Zaraqat from Lebanon found in the course, despite her academic experience, an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real contexts and to understand the mathematical foundations of each technology, which increased her confidence in choosing solutions and transforming challenges into viable projects. Abdullah Hussein from Iraq considered the course more than just a learning opportunity; it granted him space to practice and evolve, and it strengthened his confidence in addressing problems and creative thinking in applications of artificial intelligence aimed at serving the community.

By holding more sessions within the Samsung Innovation Program SIC, Samsung Electronics Levant continues to maintain its position as a key partner in human capacity development within Samsung's vision to empower people.
