Khaberni - Today, Monday, the Tel Aviv Central Court agreed to cancel the interrogation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on corruption charges, which was scheduled for Wednesday, after he cited "security reasons".

According to Israeli media, the cancellation of the interrogation followed Netanyahu handing over a secret envelope to the public prosecutor during his court appearance today.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported Netanyahu telling the court judges, "There is a security issue on Wednesday I would like to present to you confidentially", noting that Netanyahu provided the public prosecutor with an envelope containing "secret materials", after which the decision was made.

According to the newspaper, today's interrogation of Netanyahu in Case "1000", in which he is accused of receiving lavish gifts from businessmen in exchange for favors and assistance in various fields, is expected to conclude.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that the cross-examination sessions for the Prime Minister resumed at the Tel Aviv Central Court in Case "1000", where he is accused of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust.

The corporation added that the day of giving testimony is expected to be shortened, ending at 2 pm (11 am GMT).

Netanyahu faces charges of corruption, bribery, and breach of trust in 3 cases that could lead to imprisonment if convicted, while he denies admitting to any of them.

In addition to "Case 1000", Netanyahu is also accused in "Case 2000" of negotiating with Arnon Mozes, publisher of Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, to secure positive media coverage.

"Case 4000" involves granting favors to the former owner of the Walla news site, Shaul Elovitch, who was also a senior official in the Bezeq telecommunications company, in exchange for positive media coverage.
