Saudi Arabia delivers the first shipment of the grant provided to support energy in Syria

Khaberni - The first shipment of the grant provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the energy sector in Syria arrived on Sunday, where a tanker loaded with Saudi crude oil docked at the Baniyas port.
According to Saudi media, the shipment is loaded with about 650,000 barrels of crude oil, representing the first batch of the grant totaling 1.65 million barrels of crude oil.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Fund for Development, and the Syrian Arab Republic, represented by the Syrian Ministry of Energy, signed on September 11 last year, an agreement to provide the grant, which is implemented and monitored under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy in the Kingdom to contribute to enhancing the operation of Syrian refineries and achieving operational and financial sustainability, to support economic development and face economic challenges in Syria, and to enable vital sectors in it to grow, and support national and international efforts in achieving sustainable development goals.

According to what the Saudi media reported, this grant reflects the Kingdom's efforts to contribute to improving the living conditions of the Syrian people stemming from the close relations between the two countries.
