Khaberni - A number of deputies signed a parliamentary memorandum adopted by Deputy Hala Al-Jarrah, demanding the government investigate statements attributed to the Jordanian investor and businessman Ziad Al-Manaseer, in which he stated that he was subjected to pressures and blackmail by officials to appoint their children and acquaintances in unprofessional ways.
The deputies considered in their memorandum that such statements — if true — reflect poorly on the investment environment, warrant accountability, and should not be left as mere press statements, according to their opinion.
