Khaberni - Today's session of the House of Representatives witnessed a prominent intervention by Deputy Captain Zuhair Mohammed Al-Khashman, head of the Centrist and National Islamic Parties Bloc, during the discussion of the amended bill for the National Service and Reserve Service Act of 2025, where he announced his support for the law, considering it a comprehensive national project to reformulate the relationship of youth with the state, and a direct translation of royal directives and the vision of His Highness the Crown Prince.
Al-Khashman said in his speech, “National service today is not conscription in its old form, but a national project for rebuilding a new generation of youth, a generation that is qualified, disciplined, and integrated at the core of the state, not on its margins,” emphasizing that the law goes beyond the traditional military framework to provide a comprehensive program in professional skills, practical discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness, enabling youth to enter the job market with confidence and competence.

Al-Khashman affirmed that the amendments in the project came to do justice to the youth and ease their lives, and are not to impose restrictions on them, explaining the prominent features of the project, and added that these clauses "are not just cosmetic changes, but real guarantees for every Jordanian youth and every Jordanian family."

Al-Khashman stressed that the law constitutes a basic pillar in facing the most dangerous challenges confronting youth today, including idleness and drugs, stating that the service in its modern form offers youth six months of training, discipline, and activity, in a positive environment that provides protection and support.

Al-Khashman confirmed that the royal directives were always clear:
“A stronger youth… a stronger nation,” considering that the enactment of this law is a practical embodiment of this national vision.

Al-Khashman concluded his intervention by announcing his vote in favor of the amended bill, saying:
“We are not just voting on a national service law... we are voting on a national project for rebuilding the Jordanian human; a law that restores strength to the youth, dignity to the nation, and the state’s trust in its new generation.”
