Khaberni - Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, Justin Trudeau's ex-wife, spoke about his life in public after their separation in 2023, including rumors of his relationship with Katy Perry.
The motivational speaker shared how she deals with the life of the former Canadian Prime Minister in public amidst rumors of his romantic relationship with the American star.
She told Arlene Dickinson during the "Arlene on Her Own" podcast, "We are human, and things affect us. Your reaction to things is your choice. So, I choose to listen to music instead of the noise."
While Arlene did not mention 41-year-old Katy by name, a star of the "Dragons’ Den" series alluded to the "fame of what Justin does" after joking about his relationship with Sophie after the breakup. But as the politician apparently gets closer to the singer of "Roar" - who recently officially announced their relationship on social media - Sophie focuses on her personal growth.
She added, "I fully realize that a lot of public matters might motivate me," pointing out that "the woman I will become through this decision is my choice."
Sophie Grégoire Trudeau: I'm not a single mom
Sophie, mother of Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11, from Justin, gave an insight into the dynamics of her co-parenting relationship with her former husband, noting that they agree on prioritizing their children.
She added, "I am definitely not a single mom. I have a partnership with a father who loves deeply and cares for his children."
In fact, despite their separation, Sophie and Justin still live as one family unit.
She continued, "We have separate lives, but we have one family life. We need a joint and conscious decision that our family is our greatest creation, and we will nurture it together, regardless of the different paths our lives take. Living is not always easy, but it is crucial."
