Khaberni - Today, Sunday, the International Football Federation "FIFA" revealed that it has notified social media platforms this year of more than 30,000 abusive posts.
FIFA indicated that 11 individuals were reported to law enforcement authorities in 2025, with one case submitted to the International Police (Interpol).
FIFA explained that the individuals involved are from Argentina, Brazil, France, Poland, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and were identified "following breaches that occurred during tournaments organized by the International Football Federation."
FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated, "On the International Day for Tolerance, I want to make it clear that football must be a safe and inclusive space for everyone, on the field, in the stands, and online."
Infantino added, "Through FIFA's social media protection service, and by deploying cutting-edge technology and human expertise, the Federation is taking decisive action to protect players, coaches, teams, and match officials from the severe harm caused by online abuse."
FIFA established its social media protection service in 2022 in collaboration with the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro) to monitor, report, and block offensive content.
