Khaberni - News reports, mainly published by the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" based on "Sky Sport Germany", revealed that veteran Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has no intention of leaving Barcelona during the upcoming winter transfer period in January and is not considering retiring next summer.
This confirmation comes despite significant interest from European and Arab clubs, with reports suggesting that Turkish club Fenerbahce has tempted the striker in the winter market, and clubs from Saudi Arabia and AC Milan consider "Lewa" a priority for next summer.
Lewandowski (37 years old), whose contract with the Catalan club runs until June 2026, still faces significant challenges, notably winning the Champions League with Barca, which he has not yet achieved.
In previous statements to Polish channel "TVP Sport", Lewandowski left his future open, saying, "Soon I will be ready to make a decision about which direction I want to take, and I will see what my options are. I don't know where I'll be or what I’ll want to do in a few months."
Despite his advancing age, Lewandowski still sees himself as capable of contributing a lot to coach Hansi Flick's team, where the report notes that the player's average goals per game at Barcelona (0.68) surpasses his rate when he left Borussia Dortmund (0.58).
Speculations suggest that Lewandowski will not extend his contract, and his eventual departure could save about 40 million euros in salary cap (financial fair play).
