The teenager managed to temporarily escape, but police arrested him after about half an hour, and another young man aged 17 involved in the incident was also apprehended and sentenced to six months in a young offender institution, according to "Daily Mail".
Khaberni - A young man named Davie Brown, aged 19, was convicted and sentenced to three years in prison after his involvement in a deliberate theft at "Sainsbury's" store in the British town of Staplehurst, following his claim of relying on a wheelchair to cover up his criminal actions.
The incident began when Brown collided with a parked car on "Four Elms" street, before he sped off without settling the matter, and later reached the store, where he collaborated with another person to deceive the employees into believing he was unable to move, appearing in a wheelchair during the shopping.
While attempting to leave the store without paying for the merchandise hidden under his jacket, he was confronted by a security officer, only for Brown to surprise him by jumping out of the wheelchair and launching into a violent assault, throwing a box of beverages at the officer and delivering strong blows, which resulted in the injury of another employee nearby the scene.
In court, Brown admitted to the crimes charged against him, which included theft, assault, property damage, using threatening language, and driving without insurance, and he was sentenced to three years and one month in prison with a driving ban.
