Khaberni - Harry Kane led his national team, England, to a victory over Albania in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup finals.
Harry Kane scored a brace for "the Three Lions" in the 2-0 win over Albania on the final night of the European World Cup qualifiers 2026 on Sunday.
The captain of the England team scored the first goal in the 74th minute, and just 8 minutes later he returned to double the score with a second goal.
Kane raised his international tally to 78 goals, surpassing the late Brazilian legend Pelé who scored 77 goals with the Seleção from the fifties to the seventies.
The Bayern Munich forward now ranks 11th on the list of top international goal scorers in the history of football, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of the Portugal national team (143 goals), and Kane is just one goal behind the Brazilian Neymar who is in tenth place with 79 goals.
Kane continued his remarkable form this season, having contributed to 31 goals so far with his club and national team, scoring 28 goals and providing 3 assists in 22 matches.
The 32-year-old has scored 7 goals against Albania, more than against any other national team, making them his favourite victim at the international level.
Since the start of the qualifiers for the European Championships 2020 in 2019, Kane has scored 40 goals in qualifiers for major tournaments (World Cup / Euro), at least 8 goals more than any other European player (Cristiano Ronaldo - 32 goals).
