Khaberni - The Spanish newspaper "Sport" revealed on Sunday that the Spanish club FC Barcelona is planning to contract with Said Al Malla, a player of Lebanese origin from the German club Köln, to incorporate him into the team during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Said Al Malla, born in Germany to a Lebanese father and a German mother, shone significantly this season, prompting coach Julian Nagelsmann to include him in the national team list, which is one step away from qualifying for the next World Cup before facing Slovakia in the final round of the World Cup qualifiers.
The newspaper, close to the Catalan club, said that German coach Hansi Flick is monitoring Al Malla (19 years old) after his clear success this season with Köln, where he scored four goals and provided two decisive passes in 10 league matches, in addition to his proficiency playing as a left winger.
It continued: Said Al Malla’s current value is 18 million euros, but it is expected that Köln will ask for 30 million euros in exchange for agreeing to his transfer to Barcelona.
Last summer, Barcelona signed Rony Bergdich, of Swedish origin, from Copenhagen, Denmark, for 2.5 million euros, and the player has performed well so far, creating one goal in 195 minutes of play, while German coach Flick insists on his continuation with the team as he is the best replacement for the star Lamine Yamal.
