Khaberni - A horrifying murder has shaken the city of Alexandria, situated on the Mediterranean coast northwest of the Nile Delta, after a woman fatally stabbed her husband in a shocking scene in front of their three children.
The gruesome crime details go back to an argument that occurred between the spouses inside their home in front of their three children, which quickly escalated into a murder, causing severe trauma to the children amid the neighbors' astonishment, according to investigations by the Egyptian police.
The investigations indicated that the wife fetched a knife and stabbed her husband, causing him to fall down in front of their children before he succumbed to his injuries, despite their attempts to save him, which were in vain.
During the investigations, eyewitnesses and neighbors mentioned that the victim was named Mohamed Ibrahim, aged 35, and was a known car repair workshop owner in his residential area. They confirmed he had a good reputation and was well-mannered, expressing their shock at the tragic crime.
Neighbors explained during the investigations that the screams of the three children prompted them to quickly head towards the source of the noise, where they discovered the murder of their neighbor, prompting them to inform the police, noting that although the couple often argued, it had never escalated to murder before.
After arriving at the crime scene, the police were able to apprehend the suspect, while the body was held at the disposal of the public prosecution to authorize burial after completing the investigations.
The crime sparked a wave of outrage on social media platforms, amidst calls from users for the maximum punishment to be imposed on the accused wife.
