Khaberni - Jordan Customs has invited citizens, traders, and investors with customs cases and violations, organized with controls prior to 1/1/2025, to benefit from the remaining period to implement the Cabinet's decisions (related to the exemption of fines due on the cases), which expire on 12/31/2025, reminding case owners of the necessity to resolve pending issues and conduct reconciliations that would facilitate their situation and benefit from the decision.

Jordan Customs clarified that the Cabinet, continuing its previously issued decisions regarding the exemption of cases from fines at rates of 60% and 90%, had earlier decided to include cases prior to 1/1/2025 according to the percentages specified in the previous decisions and to extend the effectiveness of Decision No. 454 until 12/31/2025; also, the full exemption from the penalty of administrative collection expenses incurred on these cases when paying the original amount required, noting that the exemption will not affect any rights of the case owners at the department.

Jordan Customs calls on citizens, traders, and investors to take the initiative to benefit from this decision, which was issued based on the recommendation of the Economic Update and Development Committee, to encourage investment and facilitate traders and investors in conducting reconciliations and resolving pending cases, where the decision stipulates the exemption from the penalties of the cases covered by a 60% for cases where their owners are not required to perform duties and taxes on the goods subject to the case and 90% for cases where their owners are required to perform duties and taxes on the goods subject to the case, provided that the settlement is carried out before the date of 12/31/2025.
