Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II visited the Global Industrial and Defense Solutions (GIDS) company in Islamabad on Sunday.
His Majesty reviewed the operations of the company, which is owned by the state of Pakistan and specializes in research, development, and manufacturing of military and defense equipment and tools employing modern technology.
The visit explored ways of cooperation and exchange of expertise between the Armed Forces of Jordan - the Arab Army and the company, within the framework of military cooperation between Jordan and Pakistan.
Following the visit, His Majesty King and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, attended a military exercise of the Pakistani military forces, which focused on shooting skills and maneuvering, and included air force shows and multi-domain operations.
Accompanying His Majesty the King during the visit and exercise were HRH Princess Salma bint Abdullah II, HRH Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, the King’s Chief Advisor for Religious and Cultural Affairs and His Majesty’s Personal Envoy, the Chief of the Joint Staff, Major General Yousef Al-Huneiti, and the Director of His Majesty’s Office, Alaa Al Batayneh.
