What are the reasons for pain in the ribcage bones when pressed?

It is an inflammation that affects the cartilage connecting the ribs to the sternum, causing noticeable pain when pressing on the edge of this bone.

2.         Muscle pains:

Such as chest muscle strain that can be painful on touch, or chronic diseases causing pain like fibromyalgia.

Such as cracks, fractures, or bruises in the rib bones, or muscle strain injuries. These injuries can result from car accidents, falls, sports injuries, and others.

Digestive system problems such as esophageal reflux or swallowing difficulties or gallbladder inflammation may also cause pain extending to the chest.

8.         Heart diseases:

Such as angina or heart attack or aortic dissection or pericarditis.
