Khaberni - The Minister of Local Administration, Engineer Walid Al-Masri, followed up this Saturday on the readiness of the municipalities of Al-Hazineh and Al-Fuhais to deal with the weather condition that the kingdom has been experiencing since yesterday, accompanied by heavy rainfall due to the unstable weather condition.
During his field tour, Al-Masri inspected the work progress in the two municipalities and was briefed on the readiness enhancement measures that had been previously directed by the ministry to deal with the low-pressure system, especially regarding rainwater drainage works, opening up of drainage networks, and surveillance of water accumulation and drainage sites.
The minister met with the heads of the municipal committees, listened to a briefing on the financial and administrative situations, and the service measures implemented in the past hours, in addition to the most pressing issues facing the municipalities and the mechanisms to address them to ensure the continuity of services to the citizens.
Al-Masri also inspected the overall level of cleanliness and emergency field operations of the municipal staff, emphasizing the necessity of continuous work around the clock to handle any emergency, and immediate coordination with the main operations room in the ministry to ensure a rapid response to any observations during the weather depression.
