Khaberni - The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of an air force brigadier general accused of conducting airstrikes that targeted rebellious cities and towns, as well as his involvement in the military campaign on eastern rural Idlib and rural areas of Hama.
The head of internal security in Hama province, Brigadier General Malham Shantout, stated that the security units, in cooperation with the counter-terrorism units in the province, successfully conducted a precise security operation that resulted in the arrest of the criminal, Brigadier General Hamza Mohammad Yaseen, who is wanted under an arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution for charges related to committing war crimes and serious violations against civilians in several provinces during the period of the defunct regime.
Shantout noted: Initial investigations implicated him in conducting airstrikes targeting rebellious cities and towns, in addition to his participation in airstrikes during the military campaign on eastern rural Idlib and rural areas of Hama, which resulted in massacres against innocent civilians.
Shantout added: The criminal has been referred to the competent authorities to complete the investigations properly, in preparation for presenting him to the specialized judiciary to take the legal actions against him.
