Youth National Team Loses to Russian Counterpart

Khaberni - The national under-20 football team lost to its Russian counterpart with a score of one goal to none, in the friendly match that took place on Saturday at the Manavgat Ataturk Stadium in Turkey.

This match concludes the training camp held by the team in Turkey under the leadership of coach Islam Dhiabat.

The national team had previously lost its first friendly match against the Russian team with a score of 6 goals to 1, before also losing today in the second friendly match by a score of 0-1.

The team lineup for today's match included: Mohammad Al-Shalloul, Saif Taha (replaced by Ali Al-Awaiwi), Faisal Al-Louzi, Yasser Al-Hambouz, Iyad Al-Amawi, Ahmad Abu Koush, Omar Al-Khatib, Mohammad Al-Baytar, Adeeb Ramadan (replaced by Mahmoud Al-Tamizi), Nasser Al-Dajani (replaced by Mohannad Mustafa), Saad Al-Din Al-Salamat (replaced by Ali Al-Naimi).
The team delivered a strong performance during both halves of the match, with an aggressive and quick start from both sides, before the opponent scored the first goal at the 12th minute.

At the beginning of the second half, Al-Dajani almost equalized after advancing with the ball from the right side, weaving through the defenders and shooting a strong ball that the goalkeeper deflected to a corner kick, continuing the successive attacks of the national team on the Russian goal. Before the end of the match, Al-Baytar shot a powerful ball that hit the crossbar, which could have equalized the score.

The national team delegation is expected to return tomorrow morning, Sunday, to Amman, with the conclusion of the training camp held in Antalya.
