Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II confirmed on Saturday the importance of benefiting from the Indonesian Sovereign Fund (Danantara) experience in developing and managing government investments.

During his meeting in Indonesia with representatives from Danantara, attended by the Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, His Majesty highlighted the importance of building economic and investment partnerships with the fund, whose priorities align with the targets of the economic modernization vision, in terms of enhancing economic growth and creating job opportunities.

His Majesty the King emphasized the importance of building on strong bilateral relations and working on developing sustainable cooperation mechanisms that contribute to opening new areas for investment that serve the common interests and add value to both the Jordanian and Indonesian economies.

The CEO of the fund, Rozan Rozlani, spoke about the fund's work and projects, and discussed the Indonesian experience in structuring governmental companies and sovereign funds.

On his part, the Minister of Investment, Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, reviewed the targeted investment opportunities in the Kingdom and the possibilities for joint cooperation in them, especially in the sectors of energy, transportation, and logistics.

The meeting discussed governance mechanisms and management of strategic investments, and the possibility of transferring these experiences to Jordan, contributing to the exchange of expertise, supporting national strategies, and maximizing the impact of major projects.

The meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, the senior advisor to His Majesty the King for religious and cultural affairs, and His Majesty's personal envoy, discussed the mechanisms to activate joint work through establishing technical committees to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience, and building practical partnerships between Jordanian and Indonesian institutions.

It was agreed that a team from Indonesia will visit the Kingdom to conduct broader research and discuss in detail the investment opportunities and explore the overall cooperation opportunities and major projects.

Also present at the meeting was the Director of His Majesty the King's Office, Engineer Alaa Batayneh, and the Jordanian Ambassador to Indonesia, Sadiq Al-Amoush.
