Khaberni - Today, Minister of Investment Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh conducted bilateral talks with the Indonesian Minister of Investment - the CEO of the Sovereign Fund "Ruslan Ruslani", on the sidelines of His Majesty King Abdullah II's visit to the Republic of Indonesia.
The talks, held in Jakarta, covered prospects for enhancing investment cooperation between Jordan and Indonesia, especially in the fields of mining, agriculture, and fertilizer manufacturing, alongside opportunities for institutional partnership between the Jordanian Investment Fund and the Indonesian Sovereign Fund.
Dr. Abu Ghazaleh emphasized that Jordan boasts a stable and attractive investment environment, supported by modern legislation, tax and customs incentives, and ease of business establishment and operations through a unified investment services platform.
He highlighted the most promising opportunities available between the two sides to build integrated economic partnerships directed towards regional and international markets, especially in the sectors of mining, manufacturing industries, agriculture, and related supply chains.
The meeting also discussed ways to enhance institutional cooperation between the Jordanian Investment Fund and the Indonesian Sovereign Fund, where it was agreed to exchange best practices and knowledge transfer in the areas of governance, investment, and project management, in addition to exploring opportunities for cooperation in economically viable joint projects.
On his part, the Indonesian Minister expressed his country's keenness to expand the investment cooperation base with Jordan, and to benefit from the Kingdom's strategic location and business-fostering infrastructure, emphasizing his interest in pursuing the joint priority agendas.
At the end of the meeting, both sides affirmed the importance of continuing coordination and building direct communication channels between the specialized technical teams, in preparation to identify feasible investment projects that would enhance economic growth and create sustainable job opportunities in both countries.
