Khaberni - Spanish media confirmed that Real Madrid is planning to strengthen its midfield by signing a major deal.
Defensa Central reported that while Manchester City player Rodri and Paris Saint-Germain player Vitinha were linked with moves to Santiago Bernabeu, another name has surfaced on the club’s radar.
It was explained: "Ecuadorian Moises Caicedo has been in the spotlight in the English league thanks to an exceptional performance that made him one of the standout players for Chelsea this season, which has sparked talk in England about the possibility of the royal club attempting to sign him. However, the real data confirm that the deal seems closer to impossible than being a viable option at the current time."
It added: "Caicedo, who is 24 years old, has been notable, prompting some analysts to suggest that he might be the player capable of meshing with the style of coach Xabi Alonso, thanks to his defensive strength and his ability to recover the ball and create balance in midfield."
It mentioned that the circulating estimates place the potential value of the deal at around 200 million euros, an unreasonable amount for any midfielder, where despite Caicedo moving forward, according to English reports, ahead of names like Rodri and Vitinha in the options of major clubs, the required amount turns the idea of his transfer to Madrid into a nearly impossible scenario.
It remarked: "The vision for Real Madrid is clear, as while admiring the player's skills does not mean an attempt to sign him, especially since his contract extends until 2031, which puts Chelsea in a strong position that is difficult to shake."
It concluded: "Real Madrid has a young and promising group in the midfield area, such as Tchouameni and Camavinga and Valverde and Arda and Bellingham, but the technical staff sees the need to add something new before the next season, however, this addition will not be a fantastical deal worth 200 million, which makes the Caicedo dossier closer to media talk than to actual sports planning within the club."
