Khaberni - The Syrian Ministry of Defense pinpointed the rocket launch site targeting the Mezzah neighborhood in Damascus and found homemade military devices there.
The Media and Communication Directorate in the Syrian Ministry of Defense told the "Syrian News Channel" website: "We were able to find the rocket launch site targeting the Mezzah neighborhood, which resulted in a number of injuries among the local population, and the site is being secured to complete the investigations."
It added that "a specialized military team was able through studying the fall angles and the assembly of the rockets to discover the launch site."
The "Syrian News Channel" pointed out that the Ministry of Defense found homemade military devices used during the rocket launch on the Mezzah neighborhood, explaining that the rockets were launched from the outskirts of the capital, Damascus.
The Media and Communication Directorate in the Syrian Ministry of Defense stated that the attack was carried out with two "Katyusha" rockets aimed at residential areas in "Mezzah" and its surroundings, resulting in a number of civilian casualties and causing material damage to the place.
It clarified that it has begun cooperating with the Ministry of Interior to investigate the circumstances of "this sinful assault" and is working on collecting necessary evidence and determining the trajectory of the rockets and their launch sources.
It emphasized that the ministry will not hesitate to pursue those responsible for "this criminal act" and will take deterrent measures against anyone tampering with the security of the capital and targeting the lives and stability of Syrians.
