Khaberni - The family court in Nasr City in Egypt considered a strange case of "divorce", where a two-year-old marriage that produced one child, ended due to a disagreement over a lunch, the main dish of which was "stuffed".
The attorney Noha El-Gendy, authorized by her client, talked about her client's crisis that she had suffered during the two years of her marriage to "M.M.", an employee at a governmental body, where his focus was excessively on her cooking method, which was the basis of most of their disputes.
Continuing the series of disputes and bullying over cooking, the wife misjudged the proper cooking standard for the infamous day's lunch, resulting in a "stuffed" dish that was unappetizing, which led her husband to insult her harshly. She asked him to stop abusing her verbally in this manner; however, he did not relent and threatened her with marrying another woman who was a better cook than her, before he pronounced a divorce oath on her.
The wife refused to continue her life with the same man, and asked him to formalize the separation, which he also refused, and threatened to leave her "hanging" without a marriage or official recognition of the divorce, so she in turn appealed to the court, which ruled in favor of the divorce.
