Khaberni - A doctor specializing in physical therapy and functional medicine has revealed that snoring can result from various causes, including weak tongue muscles, weight gain, or anatomical differences in the upper airway, indicating that each case may require customized solutions.

Dr. Pedram Merdamedi explained that the exercise he presents focuses on strengthening the tongue muscle, which may reduce snoring and provide a quieter sleep.

The exercise involves pressing the tip of the tongue against the roof of the mouth and then quickly releasing it to make a "clicking" sound, repeating this from 15 to 30 times daily, according to the Mirror newspaper.

Wide Engagement
The video about the exercise has widely spread among users, with some sharing their personal experiences humorously, like one saying, "I do it 100 times a day, and I will stop snoring soon," while another commented jokingly, "I sent the video to my husband right away."

Tips
The British National Health Service has confirmed that snoring is common and usually does not indicate a serious health problem, but it can become bothersome if it affects sleep or daily life.

It added that smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, sleeping on the back, and weight gain all increase the likelihood of snoring.

It advised consulting a doctor if snoring is accompanied by breathing interruptions during sleep, choking sounds, or feeling drowsy during the day.
