Khaberni - The Israeli newspaper "Maariv" has shed light on an Egyptian political analysis regarding the resumption of Egyptian-Turkish relations, which the newspaper described as "a new alliance that concerns Israel".
An alliance that affects the region
"Maariv," in its report titled "The New Alliance that Concerns Israel...This is the Surprising Message Sent by El-Sisi to Erdogan," added that the analysis published in the Egyptian newspaper "Al-Ahram" discussed the impact of the relationship between Egypt and Turkey on the region, considering them the most influential powers in the area.
"Maariv" quoted "Al-Ahram" stating that the two countries are distinguished not only by the size of their armies and their power but also by their population size, economy, and strategic status on the international stage, and based on this fact, it would never be right for the coordination of positions and visions between these two powers to cease.
Gaza at the top of the priorities
According to "Maariv," the Palestinian issue tops the priorities requiring coordination between Egypt and Turkey, noting that the issue of Gaza was the main topic during the visit of Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atty to Turkey. During the visit, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received the Egyptian minister, who delivered a written message from El-Sisi.
In the joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, "Maariv" described how Abdel Atty assured the Turkish side that the consolidation of the ceasefire in Gaza was a high priority for Egypt, along with the continued flow of humanitarian aid to the residents of the territory, and defining the powers of any international force that might be deployed for peacekeeping.
"Maariv" concluded its report by pointing out what "Al-Ahram" mentioned that "the relations between the two countries are not limited to coordinating positions with respect to Gaza but include all conflicts in the region".
