Khaberni - The United Nations confirmed that Israel has erected a wall extending beyond the Lebanese borders, amid Israeli estimates of an impending attack on Hezbollah.

The United Nations Secretary-General's spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, said that the concrete wall built by the Israeli military has prevented local residents from accessing more than four thousand square meters (approximately one acre) of Lebanese land.

Dujarric added, quoting the peacekeeping forces (UNIFIL) that conducted a survey of the area, that part of another wall exceeding the Blue Line is being constructed east of Yaroun.

Dujarric stated that UNIFIL has informed the Israeli army of the findings and requested the removal of the wall.

UNIFIL mentioned in a separate statement, "Israel's presence on Lebanese territory and the construction activities it is conducting there constitute a violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, and of Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity."

Imminent Attack
Meanwhile, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Friday that the Israeli military is nearing a limited attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The newspaper mentioned that the military is nearing a limited attack on Hezbollah, with a series of air raids on weapons production facilities throughout Lebanon, particularly in the Beqaa Valley (east) and Beirut (west).

It claimed that the planned target sites were built underground or hidden among residential buildings, possessing basic capabilities to convert unguided heavy rockets into precision missiles by modifying their warheads.

This news comes at a time when Israeli officials have escalated their threats in local media leaks about launching a new military operation against Hezbollah, despite a ceasefire agreement in effect since November 27, 2024.

According to the newspaper, Israeli estimates indicate that Hezbollah still possesses tens of thousands of missiles of various types.

Yedioth Ahronoth claimed that since the end of the war and the commencement of the ceasefire agreement, Hezbollah has produced thousands of new drones and explosive drones.

The newspaper continued: Hezbollah has not reclaimed the large deployment sites it previously maintained along the fence, but elements of its Radwan unit have repositioned themselves in the area between the Litani River and the border, including in major cities like Nabatiyeh to the south.

It pointed out that the Israeli army still retains control of five positions in southern Lebanon, spanning approximately 135 kilometers of the border, from Mount Dov (occupied Shebaa Farms) to Ras al-Naqoura.

The newspaper noted the Lebanese government's announcement on monopolizing arms in state hands and disarming Hezbollah, adding that over time, the Israeli army discovered that the task was progressing slowly.

On the previous Monday, the Israeli army announced targeting Hezbollah sites in the Beqaa area, claiming that they included infrastructure within a site for producing and storing strategic combat materials.

In October 2023, armed border clashes erupted between the Israeli military and Hezbollah, which Tel Aviv turned into a full-scale war in September 2024, killing more than 4,000 people, injuring about 17,000, and causing extensive destruction in Lebanon.

Israel continues to defy the agreement by maintaining its occupation of 5 Lebanese hills in the south taken during the last war, along with other Lebanese areas it has occupied for decades.
