Khaberni - A public bus belonging to the Modern Amman Vision Transport Company "Amman Bus" experienced a slide on one of the main roads in the capital Amman on Friday, according to Nasser Al-Rahmaneh, spokesperson for Amman Municipality.
Al-Rahamneh stated to "Al-Mamlaka" that the bus collided with the median strip and veered off its course, hitting a vehicle on the opposite side of the road, before stabilizing on the roadside.
He confirmed that the accident resulted in material damages without any human injuries, noting that the skid was due to rain.
Jordan is experiencing unstable weather conditions, accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperatures and varying intensities of rainfall, which requires caution, especially with the meteorological department's warnings of possible flash floods, reduced visibility, and the risk of skidding on the roads.
The Public Security Directorate warned drivers, coinciding with the impact of the unstable weather conditions and the onset of the first rains in several areas of the danger of skidding on roads on Friday.
The Greater Amman Municipality announced a medium emergency status to deal with the unstable weather affecting the kingdom on Friday and Saturday.
