Khaberni - The value of returned checks during the previous October rose to 80 million dinars, compared to 75 million dinars in September, and accounted for 2.18% of the total value of checks circulated during the past three months.
The total number of returned checks in October was 15.1 thousand checks, of which 56.7% were for financial reasons worth 45.2 million dinars, and 43.3% were for technical reasons worth 34.5 million dinars.
Conversely, the number of circulated checks in October increased by 4.3% to reach 516 thousand checks with a value close to 3.66 billion dinars, compared to 539 thousand checks in September with a value of 3.44 billion dinars.
According to (Joback) statistics, the total value of circulated checks in Jordan during October was 3.66 billion dinars, an increase of 6.4% from the previous month.
It should be noted that the percentage of returned checks from the total circulated remained stable at 2.45% during October, compared with 2.18% in the previous September.
