Khaberni - The value of electronic payment movements via "Klik" decreased to 1.86 billion dinars in October last month, by 0.5% compared to September, when the value reached 1.87 billion dinars, according to statistics from the Jordanian Company for Payment Systems and Clearing (JoPACC).
The data indicate that about 16.59 million transactions were recorded last month, an increase of 6.5% compared to 15.58 million transactions during September.
Since the beginning of this year, the number of executed "Klik" transactions over the past ten months has reached 133.9 million transactions, with a total value of 16.36 billion dinars.
As for the user base, the number of "Klik" users in Jordan has risen to 2.06 million users, with an increase of 2.7% during October last month.
According to the statistics, 96.1% of the platform's users are Jordanian nationals; Jordanians make up 1.98 million users, while the number of users from other nationalities reached 80.3 thousand users, accounting for 3.9%.
The data revealed that the majority of "Klik" users in Jordan are males, accounting for 61.4%, compared with about 35.7% females, while the youth category from 18 to 30 years old is the most active and frequent user group of the service.
In terms of the nature of the operations, money transfer operations accounted for 72.7% of the total number of Klik transactions, while purchases via Klik accounted for 27.3%, with the value of financial transfers via Klik last month amounting to 1.35 billion dinars, compared to 506.2 million dinars in purchases.
The report indicates that the average Klik transactions last month amounted to 112 dinars, compared with an average of 120 dinars in September.
"Klik" is the latest instant payment system in Jordan, launched by "JoPACC" in 2020, allowing the system to send and receive money between bank accounts in all participating banks and to and from electronic wallets in Jordan instantly.
It is noted that the total number of transactions executed with the instant payment system "Klik" during the past year reached 83.9 million transactions, with a value of 12.1 billion Jordanian dinars.
