Jordan AlSawrani Most private schools will not comply with the automated employment contract

Khaberni - The head of the private schools union, Munther Al-Sawrani, said on Thursday that the majority of private schools will not comply with the automated employment contract.

Al-Sawrani sees, in his statements to "Al-Mamlaka" channel, that private schools have particularities that should not be disclosed to anyone.

The Ministry of Education decided to adopt the unified electronic employment contract for the staffing of private educational institutions and private kindergartens, starting from the academic year 2025/2026.

The Minister of Education's decision, earlier, emphasized the necessity of implementing the unified electronic contract instead of paper contracts.

The Minister of Education, in his letter addressed to directors of private schools and kindergartens, stressed the need to commit to the unified electronic employment contract starting from the current academic year, pointing out that the use of paper contracts in new appointments will no longer be acceptable.

According to Al-Sawrani; there is nothing that justifies deducting two dinars for each employment contract.

He spoke about resorting to a law firm to follow up on the automated employment contract file.

The Director of the Directorate of Labor Relations at the Ministry of Labor, Omar Al-Dahamsha, spoke earlier to "Al-Mamlaka" about receiving from the "Hemaya" platform related to workers' rights 1395 labor complaints from the beginning of the year until the end of last July.

Al-Dahamsha stated that the complaints varied between non-payment of wages, termination of fixed-term employment contracts, objections to processes against teachers and complaints related to non-compliance with the minimum wage.

Al-Dahamsha confirmed that the automation of employment contracts has reduced the extent of violations against workers in private schools, stating that the project of automating employment contracts was carried out in cooperation with the International Labor Organization, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labor, and the Ministry of Social Security.

He noted that the Ministry of Education will not accept any contract that is not automated, urging private schools to comply with labor rights.
