Khaberni - Al-Sadd Qatari Club announced today, Thursday, the appointment of the Italian coach Roberto Mancini as the technical director of the team.
The Qatari club stated via its official account on the platform "X", that Mancini's contract will continue for two and a half years.
Mancini had left coaching the Saudi national team in October 2024, after taking over the responsibility in August 2023.
Mancini previously led the Italian national team for five years, during which he led the "Azzurri" to the European Championship title in 2021, which is the second European title in Italy's history after the 1968 edition, before he resigned from his position in August 2023.
Mancini will succeed the Spanish coach Felix Sanchez at Al-Sadd Club, who was dismissed from his position in October of last year, following a series of mixed results.
