Khaberni - Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department in Egypt detained the suspect accused of shooting a chemical engineer near the new bus station in the Karmooz police station's jurisdiction.
The operations room of the emergency police in Alexandria had received a report of a citizen being killed by another near the new bus station in the Karmooz area, and the perpetrator fleeing the scene.
Upon the arrival of officers from Karmooz police station’s investigation unit, along with an ambulance, it was revealed that the victim, a 35-year-old nuclear chemical engineering graduate who worked at a car dealership near the scene, had been killed.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect, who was a friend of the victim, shot him approximately 7 times with a firearm he possessed, and fled the crime scene before being arrested.
The necessary report was filed and the public prosecutor's office was notified.
