Khaberni - Minister of Agriculture Saeb Khresat discussed, during his meeting on Thursday with the Tunisian Republic's Ambassador to the Kingdom Mufida Zaribi, ways of agricultural cooperation.
The two sides also discussed mechanisms to enhance agricultural cooperation between the two brotherly countries to ensure the smooth flow of agricultural goods and products.
The meeting addressed the importance of exchanging scientific and technical expertise in the fields of agricultural research and cooperation in joint European Union projects, in addition to the importance of training and exchange of expertise, especially in areas of developing post-harvest processes for citrus crops, and producing drought-resistant wheat varieties, which contributes to enhancing food security and improving agricultural production in both countries.
The two sides discussed mechanisms to increase the volume of agricultural trade and to encourage cooperation in modern agriculture and food processing sectors, which consolidates the bonds of cooperation and enhances the distinguished brotherly relations between Jordan and Tunisia.
Khresat emphasized the depth of Jordanian-Tunisian relations in various fields, particularly in the agricultural sector, praising the advanced level reached by the Tunisian experience in agriculture and scientific research.
On her part, Ambassador Zaribi expressed her appreciation for the existing cooperation between the two countries, affirming Tunisia's keenness to expand partnership areas and exchange expertise in a way that serves mutual interests.
