Khaberni - The Israeli military is facing a severe internal crisis, the worst in recent years, after thousands of military personnel, including officers ranking from captain to lieutenant colonel and above, requested their early discharge and expressed their refusal to continue serving, according to what "Times of Israel" reported from Channel 12, Wednesday.
The channel stated that this phenomenon concerns all branches of the military and affects ranks that are considered the backbone of the army's future leadership. According to the report, the reasons for the exacerbation of this crisis include the repercussions of the war on Gaza, the deterioration of service conditions, political tensions, and dissatisfaction with recent appointments within the army leadership.
The Israeli channel mentioned that the army's high command, including the Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, and the Head of the Manpower Directorate Maj. Gen. Dado Bar Khalifa, are working on plans to address the escalating crisis and prevent the enactment of legislation that could worsen the military personnel's conditions.
