Khaberni - According to the newspaper "Israel Hayom," White House adviser Jared Kushner and the Israeli military are jointly developing emergency plans for the Gaza Strip in case President Donald Trump's plan for the area encounters difficulties.

The report stated that Kushner informed an Israeli source this week that he is working on an alternative plan for Gaza, pointing out complexities related to the disarmament of Hamas and the difficulty of finding countries willing to send forces to the Strip.

According to the "Times of Israel" newspaper, the Chief of General Staff of the Israeli military, Eyal Zamir, stated in a security cabinet meeting last week that the military is preparing an alternative plan to Trump's plan and that he "will soon present it to the council ministers."

The obstacles still prevail regarding moving to the second phase of Trump's plan to cease fire and end the war in the Gaza Strip, which heightens concerns about the resumption of the war.

Israel insists on Hamas handing over the remains of the captives (four persons), taking clear steps regarding the governance of the Strip, handing over the arms of Palestinian factions, and starting the reconstruction process in areas under its control, which are issues primarily linked to completing its withdrawal to behind the Green Line.

In the face of these Israeli positions, sources from both Hamas and Islamic Jihad estimated that the continuation of these situations tends towards what Israel wants, which is the continuation of the war, especially with the Israeli forces controlling more than 53 percent of the area of Gaza, the areas located behind the so-called initial withdrawal line, and closing the Rafah crossing, and regulating the entry of humanitarian aid.
