Jordanian doctor Abu Farsekh saves a patient infected by a cat

Khaberni - Jordanian doctor Dr. Hossam Abu Farsekh, a consultant in histopathological and clinical diagnostics and a holder of the American board certification, saved a 20-year-old university student after he was able to accurately diagnose her rare condition that could have developed into serious complications.

In the details of the case, Dr. Abu Farsekh said the girl visited him with widespread nodules under the skin on her hands and feet, which required precise laboratory sampling to determine the causes. Analysis revealed severe inflammation and intense infiltration of lymphocytes under the skin, raising suspicions of serious lymphatic inflammation.

Dr. Abu Farsekh explained that after conducting the necessary tests, it was found that tuberculous bacilli were present in the samples, prompting him to delve into the patient's daily life details. During the conversation, he discovered that the girl owned a house cat that goes outdoors and then returns home, where she frequently feeds and kisses it.

The doctor indicated that the cat was the main carrier of the infection, after it likely had contact or skirmishes with other cats that carry diseases such as tuberculosis or feed on rodents.

Dr. Abu Farsekh confirmed that after the accurate diagnosis, necessary treatment was started at the tuberculosis control center, and the girl's condition gradually improved until she fully regained her health.

He concluded by saying, "I brought her back from the grave to return to her normal life, as she is at the prime of her life," advising everyone who owns pets to avoid kissing or direct contact with them and to ensure they do not mix with stray animals, as they carry serious diseases that can be transmitted to humans without them noticing.
