Khaberni - Mai Ezz Eldin was keen to post pictures of her marriage contract, announcing her marriage to the fitness coach Ahmad Taimour last Tuesday evening.
Mai Ezz Eldin announced her marriage contract after 9 years of statements rejecting civil marriage or marriage to a non-Muslim.
During her appearance on the show "100 Questions", Mai Ezz Eldin answered a question about considering civil marriage or marrying someone outside her religion, following her mother’s experience of being Christian and her father being Muslim.
Mai Ezz Eldin said: "No, it’s not permissible. My religion does not allow it. I am very traditional, and I see for myself that the one I will take has to be from my religion and similar to me in everything, not just religion."
She added: "Before love, admiration is the first stage, and when you find qualities and feelings towards that person, from what I see, before reaching the stage of love, I know from the start whether it's right or not."

Qualities of a life partner
In her appearance on the show "My Guest" with the journalist Moataz Al-Demerdash, Mai Ezz Eldin spoke about the traits of her dream man, stating: "Every human being sits down to make a list of traits and puts in their mind what they want, but fate is the only thing that chooses."
She added: "When fate makes you love someone, you discover that they have none of the things you were looking for. And then you ask yourself: why did I spend years changing and making a new list? Because simply, there is nothing like that."
Mai Ezz Eldin continued: "Traits might matter to people who love with their mind.. but those who love with their heart find themselves suddenly feeling something for someone unexpectedly. It's not a calculation.. neither marriage is a calculation, nor anything in provision or fate can be measured.. It is right to leave it to God, if you keep making a list for your life partner throughout your life, in the end, fate will demolish all that and you will fall in love with a person who has none of the traits."
