Khaberni - The Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, emphasized the necessity of concerted efforts and ongoing coordination between the Ministry of Public Works, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, all concerned governmental authorities, and regulatory bodies to accelerate the pace of work on the new T2 Kuwait International Airport project, and to complete it according to the set timeline for its operation.
The Kuwaiti Cabinet today reviewed, in its session held at the passenger terminal of the new Kuwait International Airport, the visual presentation given by the head of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, which included raising Kuwait's global rating through an audit of Kuwait International Airport by the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO in addition to the efforts made by the Directorate to coordinate with foreign airlines to resume their operations from Kuwait International Airport.
The head of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, explained that the development of Kuwait International Airport's buildings is currently ongoing according to international airport standards, as well as the development of the roads leading to the airport's passenger terminals, with the aim of facilitating the process of reaching the terminals.
He pointed out that the new T2 passenger terminal project would involve coordination between the Directorate and the concerned governmental and regulatory bodies to accelerate its progress in accordance with the set timeline and to discuss the latest developments in the procedures for operating the new T2 airport. He also reviewed the developmental projects for updating the infrastructure of Kuwait International Airport.
