Khaberni - Stemming from the commitment of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the Arab University of Amman to enhance its presence in scientific, research, and international fora, Professor Dr. Soheila Banaat, a faculty member, participated in the fifth international conference entitled: "Rejecting Violence, Extremism, and Terrorism in Their Religious, Political, Social, and Educational Dimensions: A Call for Human Security", which was held in Vienna - Austria during the period from November 3-6, 2025.

During the conference, Dr. Banaat presented a research paper titled: "Violence in the Workplace and Its Relation to Self-Compassion Among Working Women in Jordan", in collaboration with Dr. Suha Tahal, a researcher from the College of Educational Psychological Sciences at the Arab University of Amman. The research paper addressed the phenomenon of violence against women in the workplace, where the study applied to institutions from the local community in the capital Amman for working women. Two scales were developed within the study, one measuring violence in the workplace, and the other measuring self-compassion. The results of the study showed that the level of violence in the workplace was moderate, as was the level of self-compassion among the participants. Dr. Banaat noted that the results indicated a negative relation between workplace violence and self-compassion, meaning that as workplace violence increased, the self-compassion of working women decreased and vice versa.

This participation aligns with the policy of the Arab University of Amman, which aims to support scientific research and enhance the dissemination of knowledge among local and international institutions, contributing to community service and cementing the university's position on the global academic scene.
