Khaberni - Teams from the Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority, Directorate of Internal Monitoring carried out a major security campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and all ranks and devices of the Directorate of Public Security, Directorate of Police of West Balqa, the Gendarmerie, preventive security groups, criminal investigation, civil defense, the Royal Administration for environmental protection, the National Electricity Company, and the Energy Sector Regulatory Commission conducted a security campaign in the southern Shuna - Sweimeh area, accompanied by teams from the internal monitoring, water basins directorate, and the central workshops directorate to control and fill illegal wells and remove violations on water resources which resulted in filling (8) illegally dug wells on state-owned lands that were violated in an unlawful manner drawing five thousand cubic meters per hour from water to supply non-compliant farms and selling tankers by extending transmission lines for supplying them with stolen quantities.
In detail, based on available information, the campaign was coordinated and the site was raided on Tuesday morning starting the filling operations for the illegal wells and removing all violating assaults that supply farms through extending main lines with large diameters and long distances extending them to a number of large farms in the region.
The technical teams in the central workshops directorate and the water basins directorate completed the process of filling the illegal wells and removing all the infrastructure with the energy authority and national electricity company which extended over several distances and locations where 3.8 kilometers of main electricity lines drawn from the main electric lines were removed and connected to control panels for operating the wells, as well as the extended water lines over long distances, disconnecting the violating water lines and confiscating (4) control panels where records of the campaign will be prepared and papers will be submitted to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures concerning.
The Water Authority confirmed that its campaign and efforts with the Ministry of Interior, Directorate of Public Security, and other entities continue in all regions and that the most severe penalties will be applied to anyone who dares to tamper with water resources, expressing its appreciation for the significant support from the Ministry of Interior, Public Security, all its ranks, officers, personnel, and the citizens who report such violations.
