Iniesta Faces Fraud Charges The Full Story

Khaberni - Former Barcelona and Spain national team player Andrés Iniesta is facing a legal crisis in Peru after being accused of fraud in relation to sports and musical events in the country.

The Telegraph newspaper reported that Iniesta's global reputation was exploited to attract approximately 500,000 euros from Peruvian investors for events that were never held.

According to the public prosecutor, the two companies under investigation, NSN Barcelona which is headed by Iniesta, and its South American branch, NSN Sudamerica, promised to organize high-level events, such as international friendly football matches and a Korean pop music festival, but most of these projects, according to reports, were never executed.

Investors claim that despite the public promotion conducted by Iniesta for NSN – including his praise for Peru's passion for sports during the company's launch in 2023 – no financial returns were achieved.

Many allege that their investments were never recovered, and that the Peruvian branch of the company was later declared bankrupt and put into liquidation without any accounting for the funds.

In addition to Iniesta, Paul Valderrama Rubio and Carlos Gomez Pintur, both accused of overseeing and managing the company's expansion in Peru, are facing charges. Authorities are now seeking to trace the missing funds and assess potential institutional violations.
