Khaberni - Surveillance cameras in a school in Manisa, Turkey, recorded the moment when a school principal pushed a student with autism spectrum disorder from the top of the stairs, causing him to fall heavily to the ground and sustain injuries in an incident that sparked widespread controversy.

According to information, the assault took place inside a middle school in the Turgutlu district, where the recording shows the principal pushing the student, aged 13, during an argument whose causes have not yet been revealed, leading to his fall down the stairs.

The child's mother said that her son returned home with his clothes covered in dust, and when she asked him what happened, he told her that the principal had pushed him down the stairs. She added, "I tried to call the principal but he did not answer. I went to the school and asked for the camera recordings, they hesitated at first, but when I saw the clip, my legs trembled. I informed the gendarmerie, a report was recorded, and a medical report was taken" according to Turkish media.

The Turgutlu District Governorate and the Regional Directorate of Education have announced the initiation of both judicial and administrative investigations regarding the incident, with immediate action being taken to suspend the principal from his position pending the investigation.

In her words, the president of the Autism Solidarity and Rights Association Şinay Çalışgan expressed her deep regret after viewing the video, saying: "A scene that tears the heart... I felt as if it were my own son. Such behavior from an educator is unacceptable. We will closely follow the legal proceedings."

The incident sparked a wave of outrage across social media platforms, with calls for the principal to be held accountable and to protect students with disabilities within educational institutions.
