Khaberni - The Karak Governorate Council Committee approved the decentralized governorate budget for the year 2026, amounting to 7 million and 531 thousand dinars, distributed across 22 sectors.

The committee chairman, Ismat Al-Majali, during his presidency of the budget discussion and approval session in the presence of the members, said that the council deals with a spirit of responsibility and positivity to implement the priorities and needs of the governorate from service and development projects, according to the financial amounts allocated, aiming to develop infrastructure, and execute projects that meet the requirements of the citizens and the needs of their areas.

Al-Majali indicated that the council will hold a series of meetings with the directors of the executive departments and the relevant authorities in the governorate to discuss the items of the projects included in the budget, and the extent of their feasibility according to the allocations and specified timelines, with the possibility of making financial transfers for projects that cannot be implemented within the same sector, in a way that aligns with the actual needs, and aims to achieve high completion rates.

Al-Majali, while presenting the budget items and their distribution across the sectors, explained that the local administration sector received the largest share of the allocations; its value reached two million and 111 thousand dinars, followed by the public works sector with an amount of 1.537 million dinars, then the education and training sector with an amount of 680 thousand dinars, and the health sector valued at 623 thousand.
