Khaberni - Barcelona FC denied the accusations of the Spanish federation about deliberately hiding the surgical operation conducted on Ameen Yamal, confirming it had consulted a famous sports expert before proceeding.
According to reports carried by "Mundo Deportivo" and "Sport" newspapers, Barcelona kept the federation fully informed about Yamal's physical condition and his treatment plan.
The club indicated that its medical department had been in continuous contact with the federation since the player started having problems in the groin area, and the situation worsened when Yamal, after scoring in Barcelona’s 4-2 win over Celta Vigo last Sunday, underwent surgery the next day to treat persistent pain in the groin area.
The surgery, which was described as a treatment with radiofrequency, was part of the recovery process recommended by one of the most respected specialists in the field, Belgian doctor Ernest Schilders, whom the club consulted on Monday.
Barcelona added that the operation was neither surprising nor secretive and that every step was taken with a priority for the player's long-term health.
Local media quoted the club saying "We have been transparent from the beginning," denying any hints of hiding information from the Spanish medical team.
The "Blaugrana" considered the public criticism to be unnecessary provocation, especially after statements by De la Fuente on national radio, where he said he was "surprised" to learn about the operation through the media and not directly from the club.
