Khaberni - Mohannad Al-Khatib, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, revealed on Tuesday that the revised system for the Student Support Fund in official Jordanian universities for the year 2025 has cancelled the assigned points for poverty pockets areas.
Al-Khatib explained that the revised system includes doubling the points for the student's academic status.
He noted that the allocated scholarships for the top students of the districts have been increased to 8 scholarships per district, and also mentioned that 5% of the partial scholarships and loans in each district have been allocated for students who are beneficiaries of the teachers' honor but did not benefit from it, according to the Kingdom.
He said that the revised system includes consideration of a disability for the head of the family among the humanitarian cases.
